  • When Should I Plan To Arrive For A Tour?

    If you plan to tour the Capitol, it's advisable to arrive approximately 45 minutes before your scheduled tour. All visitors must undergo an initial security screening, which may take some time during peak visiting hours. However, visitors have the opportunity to explore Exhibition Hall while they wait.
  • Can I Have A Tour Of The Capitol In Any Language Besides English?

    Tours of the U.S. Capitol are given in English by professional tour guides. However, listening devices are available for the orientation video and to guide foreign-speaking visitors through the Exhibition Hall. Currently, the Capitol has listening devices in Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Mandarin.
